I thought it would be fun to do a series of blogs that explore where a fan of a certain movie may want to travel.  This could get challenging for me as the movies go on, so be sure to come back each time I switch movies to see what I come up with!

Germany

Snow White is a German story, so why not travel to the place that inspired it.  I suggest visiting the Black Forest.  Most of the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs takes place in a forest, so this seems like the perfect place to go.  You can explore the dense forest, visit small towns, and learn the history tied to the area.  Of course, you’ll have to make time to stop and get some Black Forest cake!

Did you know that a Rhine River Cruise could include a visit to the Black Forest?

Adventures by Disney Disneyland Resort & Southern California

This adventure is for Disney fans, especially ones that have a special interest in the roots of the company.  With Disneyland being the very first Disney Park, there’s something special about it.  The tour also goes to many spots that are significant for Disney History such as the Disney Studios.  This Burbank studio was funded by the earnings from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.

 Alcazar De Segovia in Spain

Legend has it that this castle was the inspiration for the Evil Queen’s castle in the movie.  I must admit, I see the resemblance.  It was also used as a setting in “Wheel of Time” and served as the home of Sir Lancelot in “Camelot”.  While this is one of most visited landmarks in Spain, while in Segovia, you could also consider visiting Segovia Cathedral and the Aqueduct of Segovia.

Don’t forget to add an evening walk to your visit while in Segovia, the lights from Alcazar and the Aqueduct create beautiful illumination!
