What’s This?

Hi, I'm Katie! 

You may be wondering how I ended up with a blog.  To be honest, I don't even remember where the idea came from.  I'm currently in shock that this post went live on my own website.  I've played with hosted blogs on various platforms over the past 2 decades (Anyone remember LiveJournal?), but I've never had my own website.  I have learned a ton over the past year as I've prepared for this launch, and I know that there's so much more to learn.  Welcome to the journey!  Full disclaimer, this post was supposed to go live on January 1, 2024, but I just could not get my website complete.

For those that know me personally, you know that I love to connect with people through social media especially about things I'm passionate about and this seems like another way I can do and also incorporate some creativity.  I've been going through a lot of self-discovery the past few years and one thing that I've learned is that I am at my best when I'm getting to actively use my creativity especially about things I love!

What do I love?  I love Disney, themed events, escape rooms, travel, gazebos, chicken tenders, random playlists, margaritas, Harry Potter, animals, and when things are organized in rainbow order. 

So…back to the original sentence.  I started a blog because I wanted a place to store all my stories, lessons I've learned, and things I love!   This is the whole thesis of this blog will be "Learn. Laugh. Explore."  I'm trying to have this be my new "why" in life and I plan to document my journey as I implement it.

I can't wait to see where this goes and can't wait to share more in 2025!
