Dreams Natura - Day 4 - Resort Day

Today was the day I was looking forward to all week.  I know it seems like when I travel for this business, it’s all fun.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lot of fun, but there’s also a lot of brain power involved if you are trying to learn from the vendors and commit things to memory.  It’s also physically exhausting touring resorts in the heat.  Today, we a day to enjoy the resort and I couldn’t be more excited.

I started the day with some room service breakfast of French Toast, I took a soak in the patio tub, and then hit up the resort’s lazy river with a co-worker!  One unique feature of this river was that part of it was covered, so you go a little sun break.  After a few laps, we opted to go over to the pool with the swim up bar.  This whole swim-up bar was a highlight for me.  I’ve never been to a resort with a true swim-up bar, and I’ve wanted to ever since I was a child.  I know that sounds weird to say, but on the previous version of the Mexico boat attraction in Epcot (El Rio Del Tiempo), one of the screens showed a swim up bar in a grotto and I thought it looked so cool!  The pool bar I experienced was not in a grotto, but it was still thrilled to experience it. 

We grabbed a chair over by the Club Level area as it wasn’t as crowded and then went to grab some lunch from the grill at the pool.  It smelled so good and had your typical poolside food, burgers, nachos, etc.  By this time, we found more of our co-workers and went back to pool bar.  It was during this time that I got pooped on by a bird!  This wouldn’t be that story-worthy except I had just told my co-worker how I’m a bird poop magnet just hours prior.   Moral of the story?  Don’t stand by me where there are birds flying overhead. 

After my pool time, I went back to my room showered and relaxed until it was time to go to our final event as a group.  We had a rooftop dinner with live entertainment of some crazy flexible acrobats.  I was so exhausted after the day in the sun that I went back to my room to pass out after the event.  Tomorrow, we fly home.
