Fantasia Movie Night Beverages

It’s time to reveal what cocktails and mocktail I created to pair with Fantasia.  For those that are new here, I create food and beverages for Disney animated movies and I’m going through them in chronological order.

Fantasia Fizz

I knew I wanted to use champagne in these drinks because the movie referenced wine.  I also wanted to incorporate the primary colors that repeat through the film of pink, yellow, and blue.  That’s where the idea of the frozen jello grapes came in.  To create the grapes, dip the grapes in water and then roll them in jello powder, then put them in the freeze overnight.  The Jello flavors I used were raspberry, lemon, and blue raspberry.

Recipe

½ oz White Peach Monin

2 Oz Champagne

Put grapes in (if you don’t have the frozen grapes fill glass with ice first)

Fantasia Sparkler

This is the non-alcoholic version of the Fantasia Fizz above.  I wanted to make a mocktail version that could still use the frozen Jello grapes.

Recipe

½ oz White Peach Monin

2 oz sparkling white grape juice

Put grapes in (if you don’t have the frozen grapes fill glass with ice first) See details on the grapes in the recipe above.

Bacchus and Jacchus

I was keeping with the theme of the Pastoral Symphony sequence; this shot is inspired by the character of the name of the shot!

Recipe

½ Chambord

1 ¼ oz champagne

Splash of lemon juice
