Magic Kingdom

Head over to Mickey’s Philharmagic and you’ll see a segment featuring the Sorcerer’s Apprentice segment and the sorcerer hat takes a starring role in the entire show!

Hollywood Studios

You can find many Fantasia references in Walt Disney Presents. Keep an eye out for some references to it in the 1940’s section of the timeline artwork on the walls and on the animation desk, you’ll see some maquettes!

You can meet Sorcerer Mickey at Red Carpet Dreams (and Minnie Mouse currently greeting Guests in one of her red carpet gowns!)

You can also see a poster for Fantasia outside of the merchandise location, Legends of Hollywood, on Sunset Blvd.

You will also see many Fantasia references in Fantasmic! On the walk in you’ll see Sorcerer Mickey on one of the banners along the walkway and again by a section to sit in at the theater. If you are unfamiliar with this show, Mickey has a dream where he has to battle evil and features MANY characters from the Disney character line up. You’ll find Fantasia references during the Dancing Bubbles Scene. Chernabog shows up in many villain scenes. I don’t want to ruin the show for anyone who hasn’t seen it, but Sorcerer Mickey shows up at the beginning and the end in a very magical way.

Animal Kingdom

Yes, this feels unusual for there to be a Fantasia reference at Animal Kingdom, but inside of Restaurantosaurus you can find sketches of dinosaurs from the “Rite of Spring” segment! I’m glad to have photos of them as this location is due for closure (or at least a re-theme) in the near future (date hasn’t been announced as of writing this post)

Fantasia Gardens

Many people forget but Fantasia Gardens is a mini-golf course on Walt Disney World property themed after the movie! You can find it over by the Swan Reserve. I prefer this course to Winter Summerland over by Blizzard Beach, but you can’t go wrong with either. There are two sides to this course, one is your traditional mini-golf course (more on this one later) and the other side is more like a shrunk down real golf course. I’m too bad at golf to attempt that side of the course.

Back on the mini-golf side, there are so many details to take in. The course is broken into different themes based on the separate segments in the movie. There are little riddle poems to tell you what to expect for each hole and the hole obstacles are all themed to the movie. One of my favorite details that people might not notice is the music changes depending on what hole you are at. So you will only hear the music appropriate to the section you are in!

All-Star Movies

All of the All-Star Resorts have 5 themed sections in them. All-Star Movies has a Fantasia themed section. Part of it is Fantasia 2000, but more on that when we get that movie! Within this section, you’ll see Sorcerer Mickey on top of a cliff at the pool. You’ll see brooms along the outside of the building and a larger than life sorcerer hat.
