Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Disneybounding Outfits

What is Disneybounding?  For those that are unaware, Disneybounding is the act of dressing in an outfit that represents a Disney character without wearing a true costume, but regular clothes.

My twist on Disneybounding for this series is I’m only using clothes that I already have in my closet and not buying anything new!  When I used to be into Disneybounding, I spent a lot on the perfect accessories to go with the characters and I usually never use the pieces again, so this will add another layer of challenge to the mix!  For those that don’t know, I have a clothing boutique and 97% of the clothes in my closet are from there, so I’ll be able to link to the pieces. NOTE: If any of these links aren’t working – please message me via email or social media links so I can fix them!

Snow White:  Snow White is easily one of the most popular Disneybounds to pull off.  I see so many of these in the park because it’s a color palette that is easily recognizable.  In fact, I wore this outfit to work once without the red headband and people kept calling me Snow White and I didn’t even plan to do it!  I particularly love this bound as the sleeves of the top are a nod to the sleeves of Snow White’s dress which is a simple, yet adorable detail.

Doc: This is one of my favorites of the bunch because I think it really brings out Doc’s personality.  Since Doc is the leader, I wanted to put together something that gave off professional/leader vibes.  This is why I ended up with a collared shirt and pencil skirt.   I opted to wear my glasses for this one which also adds some personality as Doc is the only dwarf with glasses.  This is easily an outfit that could be worn to work without being a “costume”.

Dopey:  I’m wearing a green dress with a purple headband to bring together the colors of Dopey’s outfit.  This is an outfit I would wear to the theme parks as it’s nice and breezy and easy!

Sneezy: I’m super pleased with how this outfit turned out because it was tough as there are so many reds and browns and I was trying to not repeat any items from my closet in a different outfit.  I also love an excuse to pull my Luxe Leggings out of my closet, because they look so fancy, but they are SO comfy!

Sleepy:  As I was putting together the look for Sleepy, I was trying to keep comfort in mind as well as the colors.  That’s easy for me as I don’t own clothes if they aren’t comfortable, but since Sleepy falls asleep all the time, I wanted something extra flexible to take a nap in!  This is how this outfit came to be.  Lots of room in the romper to move around in, so perfect for Sleep’s impromptu naps.  A lot of the dwarfs have similar color palettes, but the way you can tell this is Sleepy is by the color of my headband to represent his blue-ish hued hat.

Grumpy: Other than Dopey, I think Grumpy is the other dwarf that people could easily know his color palette without guessing.  For this reason, I wanted to make sure I tried to stay close to darker colors.  In addition, I though the darker color palette would also be a nod to the fact that he spends most of the movie, well… GRUMPY!

Happy:  Some of the dwarves were tough for me as I prefer pinks, purples, and yellows, to the earth tones that most of the dwarfs wear!  For Happy, I opted to do a skirt, top combo to pull in the colors of his outfit. I would have preferred the untucked shirt to give the dwarf shirt vibe, but it didn’t work with this combo.  I could be a good outfit to wear to the office where you could bound in your own little world because it’s a subtle Disneybound.

Bashful: I struggled to put an outfit together for Bashful, because like I mentioned before, I don’t have tons of earth tones to pull from.  It’s something I’m going to keep in mind moving forward as I’m choosing pieces to add to my closet.  This ended up being one of my favorites I put together though, I love the 70’s vibe.
