Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs References in Walt Disney World

Where a million diamonds shine — Heigh Ho (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)

Updated as of 12/26/24 (Offerings are always subject to change and I will do my best to keep this updated as I notice changes or additions, but as I add more movies to look for it will be harder for me to keep up with!  Feel free to send me a message if you see something!)

Magic Kingdom

If you want the most Snow White, Magic Kingdom is your park to go to.  Magic Kingdom is home to “Seven Dwarfs Mine Train” which is a family-friendly roller coaster.  For Snow White fans, it’s a wonderful queue to explore to find many references.  One of my favorite details in this queue is the music!  In the outside portion of the queue, you will hear instrumental versions of some of the songs from the movie including the cut song “Music in Your Soup”!  Once you get into the “Mine” part of the queue, the music changes to polka music which is another detail I love as it ties it back to the original origin of the fairy tale.

You may also find Snow White visiting Cinderella Royal Table or making an appearance at Fairytale Hall or by Town Square Theater.  I recommend checking the My Disney Experience App while you are visiting to confirm locations of the Meet and Greets as they can change frequently.

Speaking of Fairy Tale Hall, while visiting Rapunzel and Tiana, I noticed a Snow White reference in their meeting room.  I was a storybook open to pages of the story.  When you leave Fairy Tale Hall, you might even catch Prince Charming’s Regal Carousel playing “Whistle While You Work” or you could grab a snack and sit and wait for it to play.

Random Disney Theme Park Fact:  Did you know where Princess Fairy Tale Hall sits currently, used to be home to an attraction named “Snow White’s Scary Adventures”?  Depending on what year your visited, could depend what level of “scary” you may have experienced, but I have memories from my childhood of being terrified of the witch.  For those unfamiliar, older Fantasyland attractions, especially those from Disneyland were designed to be as if YOU were the main character, so you wouldn’t see the main character on the attraction.  This didn’t register to audiences so they would leave the attractions asking why they didn’t see the main character.  A version of this attraction still exists in Fantasyland in Disneyland and has been changed to “Snow White’s Enchanted Wish” and I won’t spoil the changes, but I think they did a fantastic job with the update!

Epcot

In Epcot, you will often find Snow White meeting outside of the Germany pavilion.  This makes sense as the original tale of Snow White comes from German culture.  Be sure to check My Disney Experience for up-to-date meeting times.  If you take a look in the shops of Germany, you can usually find a few Snow White themed merchandise as well.

You might also find Snow White making an appearance at the Princess Meal at Akershus – Princesses are always subject to change.

During Flower and Garden Festival, there are usually topiaries of Snow White and her dwarves, so if you happen to visit in the Spring, look and see if you can find them.  They are typically around the Germany pavilion area.  This is all subject to change as Flower and Garden topiaries and their locations can change year to year.

Hollywood Studios

You may not know that Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is the first full length animated film that Disney produced.  Because of this, Snow White holds a very special place in the company’s culture.  If you visit “Walt Disney Presents”, you will see Snow White references on the walls of the museum area.  Even if you aren’t looking for Snow White references, I highly recommend a visit to this place if you are a Disney fan and even more so if you are a fan of Walt Disney himself.

Snow White and the Prince are featured in the Princess Section of Fantasmic and the Evil Queen has a featured part as well.

Resorts

Wilderness Lodge hosts Storybook Dining at Artist Point which is a character dinner themed after Snow White and her friends.  Please see this post for details on this dining experience: www.wecanshowyoutheworld.com/blog/story-book-dining-at-artists-point-review-december-2023

You can also find the Seven Dwarfs on the wall of the Days of Christmas Store.  You may not know this but at one point, you could see artwork for the 12 Days of Christmas all over the store.  Many parts have been covered, but you can still see the 7 Dwarfs on the wall!
